31 Mar 2010 - Trucks : Denis Razumov scored his 5th win of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Wednesday, and in doing so secured the Rookie of the Year crown over Team Ecosse's James Ewens. The race run caution free for the first two thirds, then two late race cautions set-up for a 3 lap race to the flag, but the shoot-out lasted until Turn 1 when Jonathan Rex spun causing the big one that involved most of the field, biggest gainers from the crash included Vegas winner Darren Jervis, and Overall Champion Ian Smythe who both threaded through the carnage to pickup 2nd and 3rd respectively. Biggest loosers included Ewens and SRD International's Robert Burton who were both denied certain top 5's.

24 Mar 2010 - Trucks : Jervis rolls a double 6 in Vegas
Darren Jervis came up trumps in Las Vegas tonight, taking his maiden V8Thunder victory after 26 attempts. The Stoke-On-Trent driver stayed out on worn tyres after late race caution, the strategy meant that nobody was able to get the wave around and it left the field with 19 laps to catch the leader on his old tyres. Champion elect Ian Smythe led the charge to make up the lap difference, after 9 laps he'd taken 16 seconds off Jervis's lead, but then the Surrey driver grazed the wall exiting turn 4 and took a trip through the tri-oval grass, despite spinning back onto the track in front of Team Ecosse's Steve Smith, officials didn't throw the caution much to the relief of Jervis who was then able to cruise to victory. Smith came home second while Smythe recovered to third, pole man James Ewens finished a disappointing fourth despite leading the most laps.
Team Ecosse trio Smith, Ewens & Morten Straus have long since wrapped up the Teams title for Ecosse, and with Smythe wrapping up the Overall & Independents crown tonight, it's left to Ewens, SRD's Adam Atherton, Jervis and Btards team leader Denis Razumov to fight it out for Rookie of the Year honours at next week's finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

02 Dec 2009 - Trucks : V8 rookie Denis Razumov notched up a dominating win at the Lowes Motor Speedway Wednesday evening, leading home fellow countryman Eugene Mozgunov to score Russia's first ever one-two in the V8Thunder event, Ian Smythe stole 3rd from Team Ecosse's Thomas Hendrickson at the last turn as the American was delayed trying to overcome the Russian motor train up front. With the first half of the race running caution free, and a surprisingly low total of only 4 cautions over the 90 laps, all of the 16 drivers did an exceptional job to keep the racing clean as well as entertaining. Next event on the iRacing Truck Series is at Phoenix next week.

02 Nov 2009 - Trucks : Trucks Season Round-up – Jack Keithley had an outstanding season at V8Thunder; his Truck series performance must rank amongst the all-time greats. He led the series in wins (11); Top 5's (14); Poles (11) and laps led (703). However, the most telling stats are points related; his 449 point margin to 2nd place is over 2 whole races ahead, while he only earned 35 penalty points over his 18 races. He has truly set the bar high for future Truck series champions to live up to, although the move to iRacing may shake up the competition from next season. Steve Smith raced to a runners-up spot in the standings; consistency was once again the key for “Smithers” as despite no wins from 17 starts, he had a series high 17 top 10's and only failed to finish one race. Ian Smiff finished 3rd in the standings, 170 points behind his “name-similar” with a win and a pole to show from his 15 starts, he easily won the Independent's Cup for the 5th season running. Honourable mention to George Sokolowski, who completed more laps than any other driver (1669, 94% of all laps). SRD International won the Team title by 115 points from Team Ecosse A, thanks mainly to Keithley with backup from Chris Hill and Mathieu Souphy. Alex Pab added the Trucks Rookie title to his Lites one to score a double in his first season at V8, an impressive start by the Russian who only picked up 15 penalty points from his 12 starts. England provided the top 3 finishers in the Trucks championship and once again took the Nations Cup.
