Not sure if it's just a rumor anymore, the dude is from Wisconsin and said he knows someone from the track that told him, guess we'll have to wait and see either way

Man, is it me or are some of these Nationwide races a bit boring sometimes.
3 years now, and I still have not gotten used to the looks of these new cars.
They're so ugly lol
Damn competition cautions man, the lamest excuse to throw cautions NASCAR has ever come up with.

By the way, do they have the new ride height rule in NNS as well?

Man what do ya say to that fight between Ambrose and Mears. Need such stuff more often.

If I was in Cup, I'd clash with a different guys every week till I get a life ban.

I'd have poor stats to show for, but damn, I'd be a legend 8)

I don't envy NASCAR, whatever they do they'll be slammed for it, if they do nothing they'll be panned for promoting violence as the answer to disagreements by the Tea Party, and if they do they'll be panned by the die hard "have at it boys" brigade.

I suspect they'll do nothing, or a token punishment like probation, it would have been a lot easier had it not been broadcasted live.

Having said that, Mears did totally ask for it, Ambrose showed a lot of restraint before finally snapping

They shouldn't take those critics seriously since they obviously never say anything when the entire NASCAR community licks the boots of the US military.
Didn't even really regard it as violence anyway, for me it was just a cageless clash between two drivers.

Say Larry Mac and Mike Joy, what do these flaps on the roof of these cars do?
And also, are they allowed to go all the way down to the grass down the front or is that out of bounds?

Jesus man, someone should make these morons watch their own broadcasts every week.

They're not commenting for us, they're commentating for the brain dead casual viewer that can't even tell if they're watching a live race even when the banner says "You're watching the 2013 race replay while we have a rain delay".

I had to laugh at DW while he lurched from one disaster to another, "I don't know whether he got out the car or not" - maybe look at the screen then since they've been showing a shot of the guy sitting in it for 5 minutes, or the "the wind has really picked up here, it must be causing the issues", director then cuts to a picture of the massive flag not moving at all, or his "The cars have a lot of caster in the front wheels, sorry I know that's really technical".

Yea lol, at least DW's fails are funny from time to time. Why does he not just retire and enjoy the races from the infield or something, but I guess he's just out to have his travel expenses paid for lol

Really? One f****n million?

That's more than top drivers get for racing.

Well, you'd think for one million he'd at least try to do a decent job.

I stand corrected, according to some of those public record sites it's $2Mill a year, plus endorsements of course, I heard a while ago he'd copyrighted his Boogitie twing crap and a load of other stuff.

You will be pleased to know however that his contract ends this year (presuming it's not extended again which I expect it will since Fox laid down $2.4BILLION on the contract last year).

FOX sucks major rearend. Since when do they broadcast? 2001?
Coincidentally it is the year NASCAR started going to shit. I bet they're the ones pushing for all the debris cautions NASCAR is throwing.

2 million's still way too much for what DW delivers, same with Larry Mac, they might as well put some 3rd generation incest hick in the booth and have someone with a broader vocabulary.

Take Larry Mac for example, 90 percent of the time he opens his mouth he says something like: driver first name driver last name in the #X car

Yo Larry Mac, we all know Jeff Gordon drives the #24, no need to mention it every single time

Segment 1 - 4: 20 laps each
then a mandatory pit stop
10 laps final segment

NASCAR definitely loves restarts, in fact they have made these guys restart to often that they're so good at it by now, that nothing ever happens on restarts.
Question is if they can gamble on the mandatory stop or have to take 4 tires.
If 4 tires are a must, then nothing good will come out of it.

And when will they realize that 10 laps is way too short a segment?

If the past is any indication, we will get 90 laps of boredom and restarts.

Funny how Mike Joy and Darrel Waltrip tried to squeeze an ounce of excitement out of these laps 2-3 laps of the final segment.
Like someone's gonna gain one second on another car in one lap.

I tell ya, Kurt Busch is gonna come back to Charlotte after the Indy 500 and brag about the fact that he just raced in an even that had not faked debris cautions.
I bet he's really gonna enjoy the 500 for that fact alone.

That's if he runs. Have they rebuilt his totalled car yet? He didn't have a spare iirc.
